An eco-system of companies – aiming to demonstrate and market BELFAST as an innovative SMART City.

Urban Evolution Smarter Belfast Collaborative Network is an ecosystem of public, private and academic organisations developed in order to position Belfast as a Smart City. Through the network, Belfast will be cited as an economy with experience in key areas with knowledge, processes and innovative products to export. InvestNI, together with Belfast City Council, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and Queen’s University Belfast supports the network with private sector technology organisations and companies. For further information on our ecosystem of organisations please visit Who We Are?

Following the scoping phase of the Network in the Summer of 2015, a report will be published identifying the main opportunities around Smart Cities and Future Communities for Belfast with an analysis on initiatives to date. The report will also identify: lessons-learned on what has gone well: funding that has been missed; local engagement in the project; contact with the large-scale organisations operating in this arena; demonstrator projects funded by industry; highlight opportunities for analysis, informatics and data brokerage; and finally, create a Future Belfast involved in providing evidence and analysis for a whole range of organisations dealing with urban change.
